Ingredients
What’s Really Inside Vince?
Real food. Real vegetables.
Vince is made for busy families, campers, students and anyone who wants an easier way to eat better without chopping half the fridge.
We make two types of Vince:
Vince Meal Bases
A dried vegetable mince you add to the meals you already make, like spaghetti bolognese, nachos, tacos, burgers, pies, curries or mince.
Vince Instant Meals
Complete dried meals made with Vince vegetable base, plus simple ingredients like rice, pasta, lentils, black beans, herbs and spices. Just add boiling water.
Both are made with the same idea: real food, made easier.
Our Ingredient Promise
If it’s not something we would feed our kids, it doesn’t go in Vince.
We use simple ingredients like:
• Real vegetables
• Rice, pasta, lentils or beans
• Herbs and spices for flavour
No added preservatives.
No strange ingredients.
What’s in Vince Meal Bases?
Each Meal Base pouch starts with over 500g of real vegetables before drying.
Ingredients vary slightly by flavour, but our vegetable base includes ingredients like:
• Cauliflower
• Tomato
• Carrot
• Onion
• Celery
• Garlic
• Herbs and spices
• Peanuts
The vegetables are gently cooked and slowly dried to concentrate flavour, they are cut to a mince-like size so they stir easily into everyday meals.
What’s in Vince Instant Meals?
Our Instant Meals are complete meals made using the Vince vegetable base, then combined with simple meal ingredients.
Depending on the flavour, they include ingredients like:
• Rice or pasta
• Lentils or black beans
• Capsicum
• Herbs and spices
• Vince vegetable base
They are designed for camping, lunches, busy nights, emergency meals or those “I cannot cook another thing” evenings.
Just add boiling water, wait, and eat.
Vince vs Many Ready Meals
| Vince | Many ready meals | |
|---|---|---|
| Ingredients | Real vegetables, grains, legumes, herbs and spices | Can include fillers, stabilisers or heavily processed components |
| Additives | No added preservatives or gums. Uses potato starch as a simple thickener | May include preservatives, emulsifiers or additives |
| Flavour | Built from vegetables, herbs and spices | Can rely on flavour enhancers or added sugar |
| Shelf life | Naturally long due to drying | Often extended through more processing or preservatives |
| Use | Meal Bases add veggies to your own meals. Instant Meals are ready with boiling water | Usually a finished meal with less flexibility |
Questions We Often Get
Why don’t you use preservatives?
Drying removes the moisture that causes food to spoil. It’s one of the oldest and simplest ways to preserve food.
Is Vince ultra-processed?
Vince is made from real vegetables and simple pantry ingredients that are cooked, dried and blended. Nothing strange. Nothing pretending to be food.
Why does the Meal Base look like mince?
So it blends easily into everyday meals like spaghetti bolognese, tacos, nachos, burgers and pies. It’s designed to make adding vegetables simple.
Are the Instant Meals different from the Meal Bases?
Yes. The Meal Bases are designed to be added to your own meals. The Instant Meals are complete meals, so you can just add boiling water and eat.
